The safety of our guests, performers, staff and service providers is our top priority. For this reason, a security check takes place at the theatre entrance.
All bags are checked by our security staff upon entry to the theatre; hand-held metal detectors are used, and we reserve the right to carry out body searches.
Please make sure you arrive at the theatre in good time before the performance begins to avoid long queues at security and to ensure you can take your seat without any rush. We generally recommend that all visitors arrive at the Admiralspalast in good time and make the most of the designated full admission period (one hour before the performance begins). There are bars inside the theatre serving cold drinks and light snacks.
To improve security, since 1 September 2024, event-goers have not been permitted to bring large bags or rucksacks into the Admiralspalast.
The ban applies to bags and rucksacks, as well as gym bags, cloth bags and plastic bags, where the longest side exceeds the ‘DIN A4’ size (21.0 x 29.7 cm).
- Storage facilities for large bags, suitcases and rucksacks, as well as bulky items covered by the ban, there are limited storage facilities available in the courtyard (by the container) for a fee of 5 EUR.
- The following items are prohibited from being brought onto the premises:
- Bags and rucksacks whose longest side exceeds DIN A4 size (21.0 x 29.7 cm)
- Bulky items of any kind: suitcases, baskets, helmets, selfie sticks, etc. (Exception: umbrellas)
- Electronic devices such as: laptops, tablets
- Professional camera equipment
- GoPros
- Food and snacks
- Glass containers and bottles, as well as PET bottles and drinks cans (these will be collected at the entrance and returned to you when you leave the event. If you have accidentally left your container behind, it can be collected from us up to a maximum of 10 days after the event. Please contact us via the Lost & Found email address)
- Alcoholic drinks and other liquids of any kind
- Carrying knives and weapons of any kind or size is strictly prohibited!
- Bringing any kind of fireworks, pyrotechnic items, gas cylinders, etc. is strictly prohibited!
(Notwithstanding the above, different rules laid down by the relevant organiser may apply. Please check this yourself before visiting the theatre.)
